Heulandite is a zeolite mineral & Celadonite is a mica-group mineral that often forms as a secondary mineral in volcanic rocks
Commonly found in the Deccan Traps of Maharashtra, India, and are highly sought after by collectors. Celadonite formed first, coating the inside of gas bubbles (vesicles) within the basalt rock. Later, fluids rich in silica and other elements circulated through these rocks, allowing the peach coloured Heulandite crystals to grow on top of the Celadonite layer. The combination is notable for the beautiful contrast between the soft peach hue of the Heulandite and the earthy green of the Celadonite.
